Cutting through the noise of infinite choice. Online shoppers are overwhelmed. Between endless scrolling and overly complex filters, finding the "perfect" item has become a time-consuming chore. Most users find themselves trapped in a cycle of repetitive searching, settling for "good enough" rather than finding what they truly love.

Translating "Search" into "Conversation." We observed that while users search with simple keywords like "blue jeans," they actually think in context: "I need jeans that are comfortable enough for a flight but stylish enough for a dinner meeting."Online shoppers are overwhelmed. Between endless scrolling and overly complex filters, finding the "perfect" item has become a time-consuming chore. Most users find themselves trapped in a cycle of repetitive searching, settling for "good enough" rather than finding what they truly love.

To bridge this gap, we designed Beam to act like an experienced shop assistant. Instead of waiting for a complex prompt, Beam initiates the conversation naturally. We replaced static filters with intuitive dialogue—asking questions like, "What’s the occasion today?" or "We just received some spring arrivals you might love." This shifts the experience from data entry to a guided discovery.

Better discovery, deeper loyalty. By humanizing the search process, we saw a significant shift in how users interact with online stores:

• Increased Engagement: Users stayed on sites longer, enjoying the process of discovery rather than feeling fatigued by it.
• Smarter Personalization: Because Beam travels with the user, it learns from browsing behaviors and dwell times—not just final purchases—becoming more accurate every day.
• Boosted Conversion: Longer, more meaningful sessions led to an incremental rise in sales, as customers finally found products that matched their specific needs and tastes.
