When Screens Replace Real Friendship, teens were spending more time alone on phones and laptops than connecting with friends in person. WithMe needed to give that audience a space that felt friendly, inviting, and lively enough to replace scrolling with genuine shared experiences — while staying mindful that a teen audience requires extra care around safety and wellbeing.

Designing a World Worth Logging Into. We built WithMe's identity and product experience from the ground up, anchored in a neon, nostalgic visual language and a comprehensive design system.

Visual Language: Developed a vibrant, retro-inspired moodboard to define a tone that felt friendly, inviting, and fun rather than clinical or corporate.

Shared Experiences: Designed in-world activities like the Super Trivia game show, Beach Resort hangouts, and Welcome Party spaces, giving friends a reason to spend time together rather than just message each other.

Safety by Design: Wrote and designed onboarding moments — "Be Thoughtful," "You Are Not Alone," "Keep Personal Info Secret" — directly into the first-run experience to set healthy norms for a teen audience from the very first session.

A Unified Design System: Built out a full color palette, button library, tags, controls, and notification components to keep the product consistent and recognizable as it scaled across new features.

From Design to Engine: Took ownership of UI and animation implementation directly in Unreal Engine 4 with UMG, closing the gap between design intent and what actually shipped.

From Concept to a Living Social Platform. The work translated a teen loneliness problem into a fully designed, production-ready social product.
